Pizza is my son’s one of my most favorite food to eat. He can have it 7 days in a week without complaining. The best part about making a pizza is that there are no limitations. You can use any leftover vegetables lying in the refrigerator. Get creative with toppings and make a pizza as per your own preferences. I made this pizza for Home Bakers Challenge
The group Home Bakers Challenge was
started by Priya of Priya’s Versatile Recipes and The first month challenge was
announced by Divya Prakash from Divya’s Culinary Journey. She chose a homemade pizza for this month's
challenge with four choices of pizza - Pizza with
pizza sauce, Pizza without pizza sauce, Pizza with pesto and Pizza with Indian touch (Naanizza).
Ingredients For Dough:-
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp dry or instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
Method:-
- Sprinkle yeast over ½ cups warm water. Keep aside.
- Combine flour, sugar and salt in a bowl.
- Gradually add olive oil until combined with the flour.
- Pour in yeast-water mixture and mix until just combined.
- Form the dough into a ball.
- Grease a bowl with olive oil and keep the dough.
- Apply olive oil to the dough as well.
- Cover the bowl tightly with cling wrap and store in the fridge until you need it.
Ingredients for pizza sauce:-
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tomatoes (ground)
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp pepper pdr
- salt to taste
Method:-
- In a pan, pour oil.
- Add all the ingredients.
- Cook on low heat until tomato is thick for about 8-10 minutes.
- Strain the sauce through a sieve and remove the seeds.
- Keep aside.
Ingredients for marinated paneer:-
- ½ cup paneer
- 2 tbsp curd
- ½ tsp red chilli pdr
- ½ tsp pepper pdr
- ¼ tsp cumin pdr
- salt to taste
Method:-
- Marinate the paneer cubes with all the other ingredients and refrigerate at least 15 - 20 minutes.
Ingredients for toppings:-
- 1 capsicum (finely chopped)
- mozarella cheese (grated)
Method:-
- Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
- Flatten and shape the pizza dough with your hand.
- Spread pizza sauce on the base.
- Arrange the marinated paneer and half of the capsicum cubes.
- Sprinkle grated cheese and sprinkle leftover capsicum on top.
- Bake at 190 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes:-
- Yeast should be dissolved in warm water and not lukewarm.
- You may make and keep the dough 3-4 days in advance in refrigerator.
