Mango Milkshake

Summer time in other words means mango time. Being an ardent fan of mangoes, I used to be so delighted as a kid to come home and find Mom always ready with aamras, mango lassi and mango milkshake during summer seasons. This is a delicious, refreshing and healthy drink and can also be considered as an energetic drink for kids. My son loves this drink a lot.

Ingredients:-
  • 1 cup chopped mangoes
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
Method:-
  • Combine all the ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend it well till smooth.
  • Pour into glasses.
  • Top with a few mango cubes.
  • Serve chilled.
Notes:-
  • If you want a more rich and creamy texture, add 4 tbsp condensed milk instead of sugar to the milkshake.
  • You may add 2 tbsp fresh cream or mango ice-cream also while blending.
  • This yields two glasses of milkshake.

  1. A refreshing summer quencher!! Love it, Nilu. I agree, the idea of adding condensed milk, enhances the already tasty mango, looking for milk maid now!!!
I once made this with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it tasted good!!

  11. Looks like the perfect summer drink! Looking at the ingredients, it seems more of a smoothie consistency than a milkshake though, no? We usually make milkshakes with ice cream and smoothies with milk lol.

    1. Yes Theresa, you're absolutely right, we too make milkshakes with ice cream but my son had cold hence had made this without ice-cream.. And wanted to write exactly the way I prepared but I did mention in the notes that you may use ice cream.. Thanks soo much for stopping by dear.. Hugsxx
