Aam Panna

Time for another thirst quencher in this scorching heat. Aam Panna is a popular summer drink in India known for its heat resistance and several health benefits which includes indigestion. It is also a good source of Vitamin C. My mom used to make this in summers after we used to come tired from school and we were instantly filled with energy after drinking this refreshing drink.  My hubby and son love this drink. Which he calls ‘Instant Magic’. So, do make this and enjoy sipping your Aam Panna this season.

Ingredients :-

  • 1 medium sized raw mango
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp cumin pdr.
  • ½ tsp black salt
  • ½  ltr sprite
  • 8 - 10 ice cubes
Method :-
  • Boil the raw mango till soft for about 15 minutes. Keep aside to cool.
  • Gently peel  the skin and remove the pulp.
  • Blend the pulp along with all the other ingredients.
  • Serve chilled.
Notes:-
  • You may boil raw mangoes when in season and store the thick mango pulp in the freezer for months. Just remove as per requirement and blend with other ingredients and use.
  • You may use any drink like sprite, seven up, limca or mountain dew.
