Cinnamon Cookies

I love cinnamon and wanted to bake something with cinnamon in it. So, decided to make cinnamon cookies. These cookies are easy, quick to make and perfect if you're having guests on a short notice. These cookies are totally amazing and irresistible. They are a hit among everyone who eats them. So, all the cinnamon lovers - Bake a batch today.

Ingredients:-
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½  cup sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon pdr
  • 1 egg yolk
  • a pinch of salt
  • milk (to knead the dough)
 Method:-
  • Sift flour and salt into a bowl and keep aside.
  • Mix the butter with the flour till the butter is incorporated well.
  • Add to it cinnamon pdr and sugar. Mix well.
  • Add the egg yolk and mix again.
  • Add little milk at a time and knead till the dough is smooth.
  • Sprinkle little flour and roll out the dough.
  • Cut the dough with a cookie cutter.
  • Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celcius.
  • Line a baking tray with butter paper.
  • Arrange the cookies on a baking tray.
  • Bake at 200 degrees Celcius for about 10-12 mintill the colour is light brown.
  • Serve with a hot cuppa coffee.
Notes:-
  • Alternatively, if you have a cookie press, you may press the cookies instead of rolling and cutting.
  • Cinnamon pdr can be adjusted as per your taste or liking as some like it more and some prefer it to be on the light side.
  • If castor sugar is not available, you may use the regular sugar and grind to pdr.
Happy Cooking!!
