Dal vada mainly refers to lentil fritters seasoned with onions and spices usually eaten as a snack or an appetizer. They are crispy on the outside and soft inside.
Ingredients :-

- 1 cup chana dal
- 1 tbsp urad dal
- 1 tbsp moong dal
- 2 onions (finely chopped)
- few coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
- 4-5 curry leaves (finely chopped)
- 1 pinch baking soda
- salt to taste
- oil for frying
Method :-
- Soak the chana dal, urad dal and moong dal for 4-5 hours.
- Drain water thoroughly from the dal and grind it coarsely.
- Mix in baking soda, salt, onions, coriander leaves, curry leaves and green chillies.
- Heat oil in a wok.
- Make small round balls and flatten them a little.
- Fry on medium flame till golden brown.
- Serve with chutney of your choice.
Notes:-
- You may also use tuar dal instead of chana dal.
- Do not add water while grinding the dals.
- You may also add red chilly pdr if you like it a bit spicy.
