My Very First Award - A Liebster Blog Award

I am quite happy, excited and overwhelmed on receiving my very first award from Pavithra of Potpourri . She has an amazing blog with all her scrumptious and delectable recipes. Do visit her blog.

I'm quite new to this blogging world and receiving this award within a week of starting the blog means a lot to me. Initially when I stepped into blogging, I was a bit petrified but thanks to all my fellow bloggers who have appreciated, encouraged and motivated me from Day 1.   

Rules of the Award:-

11 Random Facts About Me:-  
1. I take time to make friends. But once made, I never turn my back on them.

2. I have a phobia of snakes and lizards.
3. I am such a chicken hearted person that I can't even walk around my house at night... LOL ...I don't know what I would do without my hubby and son :D
4. I am obsessed with shoes and keep collecting them whenever I get a chance.
5. I love keeping diaries for everything
6. I find shopping to be the most therapeutic medicine - Take me to a mall when I am down with fever and I will be up and about in no time, well, almost!
7. I love eating and cooking. I try to eat as many varieties of food as I can get and then try making them too..
8. I cannot tolerate dishonesty and manipulation.
9. Both my weakness and strength is love. I can make biggest of sacrifices for the people I love.
10. I love surprises!! 
11. I love eating junk (street) food.

  

Questions I was asked:-

1. What is that one thing you will not give up in your life?

HOPE. We do not always get what we want or what we deserve but there is no big disaster than loosing hope or giving up on yourself. Cause trust me, miracles do happen. All we need is a little bit of patience.

2. Which is your favorite restaurant?

Annapoorna (Coimbatore), Rathna Residency (Coimbatore), Rangoli (Chennai), Dynasty (Mumbai), 

3. What is the one vegetable you cannot live without?

Potatoes. I remember in school my Hindi teacher used to tell me "Agar potato khaana nahi chodha toh khud hi potato ban jaogi" (If you don't stop eating potatoes, one day you will become a big fat potato yourself.)

4. What is that one recipe you hate the most?

I hate mushrooms – everything about them, the look, taste, texture and smell. Even though I make it for my son, I just can never eat it.

5. What is your favorite movie in the comedy genre?

Bridesmaids. Loved the movie.  

6. Which is the best city to live in the world?

My hometown - Mumbai. Nothing like it.. Feels like home always. 

7.  Share a cute or daring memory from your childhood?

We were 4 sisters and 2 brothers and there was an age gap of just 1 year in each one of us. So we were like a small gang of naughty kids. In the afternoons, when people would take a nap in the society, we would all quietly bolt their appartment doors from outside, ring the bell and run away!! I still don't understand the happiness we used to get doing this. 

8. Do you know how to dance or sing :-) ?

I'm a really bad dancer.. But love to sing and keep singing loud especially with my son (He is 7 yrs old) or when no one is around.

9. What is that one thing you would want to teach the world?

HUMANITY!!!

10.  Whose name comes to your mind when you think of optimism?

My younger sister 'K'... She is full of positivity.

11.  Name a famous personality who is strong, determined & admirable?

My Mom... She might not be famous... But is definitely strong, determined and I admire her the most. Couldn't get any other picture in mind.
